SPARHCS - Strategic Pathway to Reproductive Health Commodity SecurityAcknowledgementsThis publication culminates over three years of work that began in 2001 and has involved many people and organizations. SPARHCS was developed under the leadership of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). In addition, many collaborating organizations contributed their expertise including: Abt Associates, Inc., Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, International Council on Management of Population Programmes, International Planned Parenthood Federation, IntraHealth International, Inc., Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communications Programs, Management Sciences for Health, Marie Stopes International, Pharmacia Corporation, Population Action International, Population Reference Bureau, Population Services International, Program for Appropriate Technology in Health, Schering-Plough Corporation, Wallace Global Fund, World Bank, World Health Organization, and Wyeth-Ayerst International Ltd. The SPARHCS approach and framework were developed with technical direction from Karen Angelici, Alan Bornbusch, Robert Burn, Patrick Friel, Lisa Hare, Carolyn Hart, Steve Hawkins, Monica Kerrigan, Margaret Neuse, Tanvi Pandit, Caroline Quijada, Raja Rao, Mark Rilling, Joan Robertson, Susan Scribner, Carol Shepherd, Gary Steele, and Jagdish Upadhyay.
