Notes:
- In the final part of the “Format for Presenting Compendium Entries” we list the SITUATIONAL FACTORS CRITICAL TO SUCCESS.
- There are eight categories we look at to break down the factors important to a program’s success. READ Them
- For example, a Program Manager looking at this chart filled out for the AIDS Information Center (AIC), would see that
- One of the Technological capacity requirements is that centers be able to provide testing on site with prompt same-day results; Otherwise, the impact of the program diminishes because of clients who leave and fail to return for their results.
- I want to make it clear that although “Best Practices” are the Gold Standard, they are not necessarily always the ideal solution for a different program. For example, in some situations depending on the problem that needs to solved there may not be a best practice or even SOTA. In that case, a Program Manager would need to implement an innovation.
- SO, the more information a compendium has on these situational factors, the better a Program Manager is able to judge what is the best fit for his/her specific program.
- In the final LESSONS LEARNED section, will contain other information learned through the implementation of the program.
